This zine brings together artists and thinkers from Central Asia to study Dushanbe’s layered history, from Soviet legacies to the silent aftermath of civil war. It reflects on what it means to belong in a city shaped by loss, nostalgia, and constant transformation.

Through shared stories and visuals, the project opens space for difficult questions: What do we remember? What gets erased? And how do we rebuild a sense of home in a place where so much has changed?

"Who Is Dushanbe Today?" is a step toward reclaiming those answers, not from outside, but from within the community itself.
